Description
The course is designed specifically for licensed electrical trade’s personnel and other electrical industry professionals who work in the construction industry and perform electrical installations at construction and demolition sites.
The course is structured to cover the requirements of AS/NZS 3012:2019, ‘Electrical installations – Construction and demolition sites’ but also references relevant sections of other standards throughout.

- Legislative requirements and Safe Work
- General lighting – including required lux levels
- Emergency lighting and exit signs with references to AS/NZS 2293.1:2018
- Switchboard construction and installation
- Installation of construction wiring
- Frequency of verification (inspections) with reference to AS/NZS 3019:2007
- Portable generators
- Flexible extension cords
- Earth leakage protection
- Protection of final sub-circuits
- Auxiliary socket outlet assemblies
- Periodic Inspection of tools and plant
- Portable generators
- Lift shafts
- Re-locatable structures
